Companies House is the Government office responsible for incorporating and dissolving companies in Scotland, England and Wales and keeping records about them. Anyone has the right to see these records.

When you set up a company the registered office must be in England or Wales ( Scotland for Scottish companies), all documents including annual accounts must be supplied to Companies House in English only, (there are special rules about Welsh).

It is the directors’ responsibility to ensure all documents are filed within their filing deadlines, irrespective of where they live.

Zur Gründung einer Firma muss die Firmenanschrift in England oder Wales (Schottland für schottische Firmen) sein. Es können nur Unterlagen in englischer Sprache entgegengenommen werden (für Walisisch gelten Sonderregeln). Es liegt im Verantwortungsbereich des Direktors sicherzustellen, dass sämtliche Unterlagen fristgerecht eingereicht werden, unabhängig vom Wohnort.
