The Companies (Model Articles) Regulations 2008 were made on 16 December 2008. The new model articles will apply to all new companies incorporating under the Companies Act 2006 on or after 1 October 2009.

Model Articles are available for the three most common types of company:

• Model articles for private companies limited by shares (Word 103Kb)
• Model articles for private companies limited by guarantee (Word 80Kb)
• Model articles for public companies (Word 173Kb)
