About Companies House London Information Centre
The London Information Centre is located in Abbey Orchard Street. Its main functions are the provision of company information, the receipt of statutory documents and the processing of specific premium same-day services.
The London office processes the following applications on a same day basis:
There is a 3pm deadline for the processing of all same-day applications. All documentation must be delivered to the London office, correctly completed and including the appropriate fee, by this deadline to be processed on that day. Customers should enclose a telephone number with all applications to enable our staff to make contact regarding collections or rejections. All certificates can be posted upon request.
Any rejected applications will be notified by phone when all other queued applications have been processed. Once corrected, the application must be returned to Companies House by 3pm to be processed that day.
Please note that any applications received after 3pm and before 5pm will be retained to be processed on the following working day. We advise against submitting a same-day application after 5pm as all post received after this time will be forwarded, unopened, to our Cardiff office.
Please note that same day applications made for either Scottish or Northern Irish companies cannot be processed at the London office. These applications are only processed at our offices in Edinburgh and Belfast respectfully.
The following certified copies can be ordered and collected from the London office.
Same day applications must be ordered by 2pm and cost £60 per document or certificate. Standard applications cost £20.
The public search room allows access to statutory information through its on-line system.
All documents filed since April 1995 are instantly available from our image database. Earlier documents can be ordered via the Scan Upon Demand Service (delivered within 2 hours of ordering) or alternatively by ordering the archived documents DVD (which has replaced Microfiche) at the cost of £20 per company, which is available for collection within 2 working days when ordered by 11am. Alternatively the DVD will be dispatched on the following day of order and delivered by post. We can also arrange for historical hard file searches to be viewed in our London office. During normal office hours staff are happy to date-stamp either a written receipt or a copy of the covering letter, but we regret that we are unable to stamp copies of the documents themselves.
There is a letterbox in our front door to enable deliveries outside office hours. All documents posted through the letterbox until midnight will be given that days date and forwarded unopened to our Cardiff office. Please note there are no facilities to provide receipt of delivery outside our opening hours.
The letterbox is 37.5cm long by 7.5cm wide.
The opening hours are 9am to 5pm.
