Award Winning Success for Companies House! Companies House, an agency of Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), has achieved unprecedented success at the end of a challenging year. Last night Companies House won the blue riband award from the British Computer Society: Premier Project Award for the best overall information management project. As well as this tremendous end of year tribute, the organisation was award winning and short-listed in several prestigious competitions in 2006, including: -Corporate Research Foundation: Top IT Employers 2006/07. -Accountancy Age award winner: for our use of the internet in public services category. -Runner up in the Whitehall & Westminster World for operational delivery. -Third place in an award for environmental responsibility with the Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers Speaking about this success, Companies House Chief Executive, Claire Clancy said ‘We are working hard towards our goal of being a world class information provider. At a time of major changes we want our staff, the Civil Service and wider public to feel really encouraged by what we have achieved. It’s a great way to end the year’. Coupled with this there have be unprecedented achievements in processing efficiency and the management of the Companies Register and some of the highest customer satisfaction survey results ever. Companies House manages the database for all 2.5 million registered British companies ensuring that our businesses and the economy benefit from the best and most efficient services possible.
