WebFilingWebFiling


WebFiling is the safe and reliable way to file your company information online. As well as saving you money on your Annual Return (£15), WebFiling allows you to file most of your company information free of charge.  We are able to receive data for forms - Annual Return, 225, 287, 288a, 288b, 288c, 353, 353a, 190, 190a, 88(2) and 123, Audit Exempt Abbreviated Accounts and Dormant Company Accounts (DCA).

To use our WebFiling service you must first register online. We will then send a security code to your email address. A further authentication code will be posted to your company's registered office. The authentication code is unique to a particular company and is used in place of a signature. The WebFiling service is available Monday to Saturday, 7am to 12 midnight.

Software FilingSoftware Filing

Our Software Filing service enables the electronic submission of statutory documents to Companies House via email. Documents are automatically validated for compliance with the Companies Act before notice of acceptance or rejection is issued.

The service is open to all document presenters, but will be of most benefit to those filing documents on a daily or weekly basis. The more documents you file with Companies House the more appropriate your use of Software Filing is likely to be, and the greater the potential efficiency gains from use of the service. For infrequent users our WebFiling service may be more appropriate.

If you wish to register for Software Filing, please complete the Online Filing Services Credit Account Application. On receipt, we will create an account, allocate a credit limit and despatch a start up pack with all the information you need to get filing.

Our website provides a superb online menu of invaluable company information and guidance including the ability to access and download forms. Most of our forms are available in Portable Document Format (PDF). This allows you to complete the form online, ready to be printed, signed and posted to us. To use these forms you’ll need to download the free “Adobe Acrobat” software.

Documents Delivered by Post

If you are sending documents by post, courier or Britdoc (DX) and would like a receipt, Companies House will provide an acknowledgement if you enclose a copy of your covering letter with a pre-paid addressed return envelope. We will barcode your copy letter with the date of receipt and return it to you in the envelope provided.

Please note: an acknowledgement of receipt does not mean that a document has been accepted for registration at Companies House.

Companies House Contact Centre - Your callCompanies House Contact Centre

Our Contact Centre staff are able to deal with most general queries on matters relating to Companies House and the services we provide. They will normally give you an immediate solution to your query but if they cannot they will transfer you to someone who can.

Our Contact Centre can also take orders for company documents, which are then despatched by post, fax or email. Payment can be made by cheque if you order by post; or you may order by telephone if you are paying by credit card or have an account. Copies of individual documents can be supplied by fax or email for people who are paying by credit card or who have an account.
